Accident Reporting
 

Step 1 - Make a report to the Police within 24 hours of an accident if the accident involves an injury case or a government vehicle/ property, e.g. QX1234Z, or a foreign vehicle, e.g. JEH 1234, or pedestrian or cyclist. 

 

Step 2 - Render assistance to injured parties (if any) and call 995 for ambulance. 

 

Step 3 - Cabbies to call 24-hour Fast-Response Accident Reporting Hotline (FLASH) at 6100 1620 for all accident reporting. 

FLASH responders will arrive within 30 minutes from the time you report your location. 

FLASH contact centre officer will guide you on the dos and don’ts during the call while you wait for its field responder to arrive. 

 

Step 4 - Exchange particulars with the other party and whenever possible, secure a witness statement and take photos of the accident scene and damages to all vehicles and/ or property while waiting for the responder’s arrival. 

 

Step 5 - Report to your Accident Reporting Centre together with your taxi within 24 hours or the next working day for vehicle assessment and retrieval of footage

Do not remove the vehicle from the scene of an accident if there are injuries involved.  

 

Do not admit liability, negotiate or offer any promise of payment in any way if there are injured people or damage caused to a third-party vehicle or property. 

 

Please beware of touters who may approach you and claim that they are able to assist you with the accident claim procedures. They are unauthorised personnel and do not represent ComfortDelGro Taxi. Speak only to FLASH field responders. 

You will need to file a traffic police report within 24 hours if the accident involves: 

a) Injury cases with 3 days medical leave or more 

b) Fatality 

c) Pedestrian or cyclist

d) Foreign vehicle 

e) Government vehicles (QX/ MID)  

e) Hit-and-run case

f) Damage to Public Property

You may call our Fleet Safety hotline at 6550 8768 during office hours from Mondays to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm. Alternatively, you may call your Accident Reporting Centre as well. 

Yes. The Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) covers injuries sustained while performing platform booking jobs. For non-platform bookings, our Group Personal Accident (GPA) policy provides coverage during your hospitalization or medical leave. 

 

You may submit the required documents within 60 days from the discharge date or date of the accident/incident to the Drivers’ Service Hub, or email them to [email protected]

3. Discharge Summary or Memo (if applicable) 

4. Final Hospitalisation or Medical Tax Invoices (fully paid)
