Non-Payment
 
Do not take and accept passenger's personal belongings as collateral. Instead, as for his/name and a valid contact number.
You are advised to file a non-payment report. It can be done through
  1. email to DRO; or
  2. walk-in to General Counter.
  1. If the police have got hold of the passengers' details, kindly bring along your police report and the case will be forwarded to LTA for further action. You would need to sign an undertaking form stating that you are willing to pursue the case.
  2. If the police do not have the passengers' details but it is a booking job, our officer will communicate with the passenger and help to recover your fare for you. You will be updated within 14 days of the outcome.
  3. If the police do not have the passengers' details and it is a street hire, please note that the report will be filed for recordkeeping purposes only.
There are 4 case scenarios that are underlined for your reference:
  1. No police report filed but has passengers' details which include the NRIC number and address:
    Our officer will send out 2 letters to the passenger to help recover the taxi fare.
    1. If the fare is recovered, you will be notified through call or SMS and the fare will be reimbursed to you.
    2. If the passenger failed to respond, the case will be forwarded to LTA for further actions. You would need to sign an undertaking form stating that you are willing to pursue the case.
    Please do not contact passenger on your own once report is filed. You will be updated within 14 days of the outcome.
  2. Call booking jobs:
    Our officer will contact the passenger on your behalf and help to recover the taxi fare. Please do not contact passenger on your own once report is filed. You will be updated within 14 days of the outcome.
  3. Street hire with passengers' contact number:
    Our officer will contact the passenger on your behalf and help to recover the taxi fare. Please do not contact passenger on your own once report is filed. You will be updated within 14 days of the outcome.
  4. Street hire with no passengers' details:
    Please note that the report will be filed for record keeping purpose only.
You would receive an update your non-payment case within 14 working days from your date of reporting. Thereafter, you may call DRO Hotline 6550 8566 if you would need more information.
