Dear Cabbies
With the implementation of the Full Day Bus Lane (FDBL) scheme along Jurong Gateway Rd with effect from 14 November 2020, we noticed that some taxi drivers are still stopping/queuing beyond the 2 bay taxi stand fronting JCube (please refer to photo attached below). For your information, double yellow zig-zag restriction lines and CCTVs have been implemented along the stretch of Jurong Gateway Rd (before and after the taxi stand at JCube) to deter taxi drivers from stopping/parking/waiting beyond the taxi stand.
As public bus services are scheduled to operate from the new Jurong East Interim Bus Interchange from this Sunday (6 Dec 2020), it is imperative that taxi drivers do not stop or queue beyond the taxi stand, as it will impede bus operations along the left lane of Jurong Gateway Rd (in the direction of Jurong East Central), as well as other vehicles turning out from Jurong East Central 1.
