Rebate for Road Tax

Petrol Duty

To ease the transition to the new petrol duty rates announced on 17 February, the Government will provide $360 worth of additional Petrol Duty Rebates for active cabbies of petrol and petrol-hybrid taxis, on top of the 15% road tax rebate for all cars using petrol. No application is needed. More details to come in April 2021!

There have been cases in which cabbies have added the extra stop/distance surcharge for ComfortRIDE trips with two destinations. If two destinations have already been reflected on the Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) at the time of booking, you do not need to add the surcharge as it has been built into the total fare.

Use the “Extra” button on the MDT payment screen to add the surcharge only if there is one destination reflected on MDT and the passenger requests for another stop. You can only add up to three stops per trip.

Encourage your passengers to download the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App if they have never done so! Newly registered users get a $5 promo code that they can redeem for their street hail trip in the app!

What's more, passengers who registered their Mastercard® in the app for the first time will receive a first $3 promo code for their first street hail trip. After the promo code is used, all they have to do is to take a second street hail trip, and they will receive another $3 promo code for their next street hail trip.

If your passengers are not carrying enough cash for the street hail trip, remind them to use the “Pay For Street Hail” feature in the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App. All they have to do is to download the app, add their preferred cashless payment mode and pair the trip. Moreover, there is no administrative fees.
