Dear Cabbies 

COMPANY TO DONATE 50 CENTS FOR EVERY COMPLETED BOOKING JOB ON CHRISTMAS DAY TO CABBY HARDSHIP FUND 

The Cabby Hardship Fund, which was launched in December 2016, assists ComfortDelGro cabbies and their immediate families who require financial aid arising from death, total and permanent incapacity, as well as serious chronic medical conditions. 

To-date, we have disbursed more than $15,000 in aid of our cabbies. Cabbies such as Hassainar Bin Mohamad and Manogaran S/O Gnana S are two of 25 recipients. 

Cabby Hassainar and his wife welcomed their baby boy in May this year but ran into financial difficulties as a result. So, we gifted him $500 immediately to tide him through the difficult period. Cabby Manogaran, on the other hand, had to go through a kidney transplant in April this year. He could not drive the taxi for a few months, and was worried about his income. To aid him, we gave him $1,000, so that he could concentrate on getting well. I am glad the doctor has given him the green light to drive again since.   

We understand that there may be cabbies who require such financial aids from time to time. To reach out to more cabbies, we will be donating 50 cents for every completed booking job on Christmas Day (25 Dec) towards the Cabby Hardship Fund.
