World Water Day is held annually on 22 March, a day designated by the United Nations (UN) to celebrate the importance of water. The UN theme for World Water Day 2018 is "Nature for Water".

In 2018, Singapore World Water Day (SWWD) will be celebrated throughout the month of March. "Make Every Drop Count", the theme for SWWD 2018, underpins the active role each of us can play to show our care for water.

Activities and initiatives by the community for the community focus on active steps everyone can take, like adopting these 5 water-saving tips:

• Take shorter showers
• Use a mug when brushing teeth
• Use half-flush when possible 
• Wash vegetables and dishes in a container
• Wash clothes on a full load
