All taxi drivers in Singapore are required to have a valid Taxi Driver's Vocational Licence (TDVL) before they can hire a taxi. If you are interested in becoming a ComfortDelGro taxi driver, apply for the TDVL Course through us. Here's what you need to know.
Taxi Driver’s Vocational Licence (TDVL) Course
Application Criteria
 
  • Be a Singapore Citizen.
  • Be at least 30 years old.
  • Possess a qualified Class 3/3A Licence for a continuous period of at least one year at the point of application.
  • Be able to speak and read simple English.
Course Pre-requisite
Applicants must obtain:
  • LTA approval letter to attend the TDVL course.
  • A certification from a doctor to be medically fit (VL medical examination report and Chest X-ray examination report).
  • GCE ‘O’ or ‘N’Level pass in English (Grade D7 and above) or Level 3 pass in English under the Workplace Literacy (WPL) programme.

25 hours (16 hours of classroom and 9 hours of self-study)

Applicants are required to pass three tests:
Paper 1 – Service Quality, Health & Road Safety
Paper 2 – Taxi and Private Hire Car Rules & Regulations
Paper 3 – Route Planning

Private hire car drivers in Singapore are required to have a valid Private Car Driver's Vocational Licence (PDVL). ComfortDelGro Taxi is an appointed Vocational Licence course provider by the Land Transport Authority, and you can register for the PDVL Course through us.
Private Driver’s Vocational Licence (PDVL) Course
Application Criteria
